Aaron Rodgers Dolphins Packers Raiders Broncos Saints Logos

  • Bovada says that the Denver Broncos are the even-money betting favorite to be Aaon Rodgers’ team for Game 1 of the 2022 season.
  • Rodgers’ current team, the Packers are second at +160.
  • The restructured deal of Rodgers reportedly includes a gentleman’s agreement that the Packers will trade him after the season if he is still unhappy in Green Bay.

With their season starting on the wrong foot, it’s not unusual for the Thomases to start doubting the Green Bay Packers. And Aaron Rodgers too. Despite Rodgers assuring the public after last week’s loss that it’s just one game in a 17-game regular season, the rumors keep persisting.

Up to now, many are not convinced that Aaron Rodgers will stay in Green Bay beyond this season. The sportsbooks agree.

Pack Agrees to a 2022 Trade if Rodgers Still Wants Out

The Aaron Rodgers drama ended amicably and with the 2020 NFL MVP returning to Green Bay this season. But with both camps showing hints that Rodgers’ return may only be a band-aid solution, the rumors of Rodgers leaving Green Bay refuses to leave.

Before the start of the season, Rodgers and Davante Adams both posted images of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen on their social media accounts, purportedly to connote a “Last Dance”. On the other hand, it has been reported that when Rodgers re-worked his contract with the Packers, he made sure he had a way out after the season if he wanted to.

Although an opt-out clause for 2022 was not included in his new deal, Rodgers and the Packers reportedly have a handshake agreement that Green Bay will grant the 2020 NFL MVP a trade if he is still unhappy and wants to leave after the current season. With Rodgers’ last dance starting on the wrong foot as the Packers lost to the Saints 38-3 as -3.5 points and -190 Moneyline betting favorites, the trade rumors have started to emerge once again.

Whee Will Aaron Rodgers Play in 2022?

Online sportsbook Bovada has been busy with its Aaron Rodgers odds boards this week. A couple of days ago, Bovada opened the betting lines for an Aaron Rodgers trade to happen before this year’s trade deadline. While the Packers breathed a sigh of relief knowing that Bovada’s NO was an overwhelming -3500 betting favorite over the YES (+900), the bookmaker didn’t stop there.

Now, Bovada has opened the betting lines for where will Rodgers play Game 1 of the 2022 season with and surprisingly, the online bookie is listing the Denver Broncos as the even-money favorites to be that team. Denver was closely linked to Rodgers during the offseason. They were the +500 betting favorites at BetOnline to land Rodgers in a trade. That did not materialize but this past week, it was reported that the Broncos are still interested in Rodgers and are willing to make a substantial trade offer if he becomes available after the 2021 season.

The Packers are second in the Bovada odds board at +160 while the Las Vegas Raiders are third at +325. Rodgers reportedly mentioned Las Vegas as a possible destination during the offseason. The Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints, teams linked to Rodgers before the season, are next at +1200. The Washington Football Team and Carolina Panthers complete the betting boards at +1400 each.
