The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race is set to run on Sunday, November 6 at the Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, AZ, and it will crown the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series champion.
The four drivers who ended up qualifying for the NASCAR Cup Series Championship are Chase Elliott, Christopher Bell, Joey Logano, and Ross Chastain.
NASCAR Cup Series Championship odds see Elliott as the favorite at 2/1, followed by Bell (+250), Logano (3/1), and Chastain (+325).
Last Sunday’s final race of the NASCAR Playoffs Round of 8, the 2022 Xfinity 500 from Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia, saw Christopher Bell the winner and rewarding his betting backers at nice 14/1 betting odds.
The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race is a 312-lap race contested over the 1-mile (1.6 km) racetrack in Avondale. Last year in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race, it was Kyle Larson who emerged victorious in Avondale in the final race of the Cup Series season.
As he was last week in the Xfinity 500, Elliott is the NASCAR Cup Series Championship race Odds favorite at +225 odds at NASCAR betting sites.

Ross Chastain (Chevrolet) has really been hot lately, with the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 finishing in 4th place last weekend after two straight 2nd place finishes. The Florida native has been brilliant and rewarded us last week with two winning NASCAR Xfinity 500 Race Props bets.
The 29-year-old Chastain—nicknamed the Watermelon Man—has had his best year this 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season and the motivation will also be here as this man is driving for a title. At +325, Chastain is the longshot in the Championship 4 but only a fool would count him out here.

H2H Matchup: Larson Over Blaney
The NASCAR Cup Series Cup Series Championship Props Bet head-to-head Drivers’ Matchups from BetUS feature many close odds matchups, but it’s the Kyle Larson (-125) vs. Ryan Blaney (-105) one that has my attention.
Last week, Larson (Chevrolet) and Blaney (Ford) finished 2-3 at Martinsville Speedway, and both drivers have been running well. Larson is No. 7 in the Driver’s standings while Blaney is No. 6, so these two are evenly matched. The differences come down to the little things.
Last year, Larson won this race as well as the title, so he has the experience and confidence. Additionally, he will also be looking to win this race, even if he can’t win the title again this time around. Larson has captured three checkered flags this season and is priced at 11/1 to win the race on Sunday.
Blaney is still in the midst of a long winless streak and is the only Top12 driver without a win this 2022 NASCAR Cup series season. We all know he would love to end the drought and he ran a great last week, but Larson is still one of the best on the circuit and should edge him out again.

Kyle Larson won this race last season, he just won the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Dixie 400, and last week at Martinsville he finished in 2nd place behind winner Christopher Bell. Kyle has quietly been in great form despite not making the Championship 4 this time around on the track.
Larson has the second-most Top 5 finishes this season (13) and he has led 635 laps heading into the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix. Larson also has 18 Top 10 finishes and is one of four Chevrolet drivers sitting in the top 7 (Chastain, Elliott, Byron, and Larson).
Besides Larson (+225 to win Group A, BetUS), Group A members Ryan Blaney (3rd place) and Denny Hamlin (5th place), were also in the Top 5 last weekend. Kevin Harvick (+325) seems like the odd man out here and the first to be tossed out.
Larson and Blaney seem like they could both win this race, along with maybe six other drivers—including the Championship 4—and getting him at +225 seems worth the risk. That means in two of these Props for Sunday we will need Larson to finish ahead of Blaney.

Take Larson To Win The Race
Parity has been the name of the game this 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season after a record-tying 19 different drivers won. It seems a familiar face will win this race and get the checkered flag but still might not be as happy as Elliott, Logano, Chastain, or Bell if one of them doesn’t win the race.
Bell could win a championship in just his 108 NASCAR Cup Series start on Sunday in the Grand Canyon State and become the the guy to win a title with the second fewest starts. And Chastain now has 29 Top 10 finishes this season after his 4th-place finish last weekend in Virginia.
The Championship 4 drivers, last year’s champion Larson, the dry-streak driver Blaney, and maybe a surprise driver like Daniel Suárez (100/1) should be the main candidates to win this massive race.
Like Max Verstappen has been doing in Formula One this season, Elliott would love to win here and claim both the NASCAR Cup Series Regular Season Championship and the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series championship. But it should be a real shootout Sunday.

The driver who has won the opening race of the Round of 8 has won the NASCAR Championship in 3 of the last 6 years. So, despite Elliott’s Regular Season title and nod from the oddsmakers, Logano may provide some great NASCAR Cup Series Championship race Odds value for backers.
Logano has a shot at winning the title for a 5th time in his career and the man has been absolutely fabulous in Even-numbered years. He’s qualified for the Championship 4 in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 and now here in 2022. So, the No. 22 car will be going for his 2nd title after winning in 2018.
With Logano wrapping up his spot in this race so early, he and his Team Penske didn’t really have to care much the last two races and could strategize for this biggest of all NASCAR races in 2022 at the PIR. Can Logano win another Bill France Trophy? He most certainly can.
With Crew Chief Paul Wolfe and that confidence and some history on his side, Logano can seemingly steal the Championship this new NextGen car season by winning just at the right time. And this Sunday would definitely be the right time. Logano has won in Avondale before (2016).
Beating Regular Season champion Elliott, who drives the No. 9 Camaro ZL1 for Hendrick Motorsports, won’t be easy for Logano. Chastain and his No. 1 Camaro ZL1 and his Trackhouse Racing Team are also in a major groove. And Christopher Bell won the race last weekend.
This race should be good. Really good.
