The 2022 NASCAR Playoffs Round of 8 starts Sunday, September 25 with the 2022 AutoTrade EchoPark Automotive 500 from the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas (TV—USA, Radio—PRN, SiriusXM, Streaming—NBC Sports; 3:30 ET/12:30 PT).

Last weekend in the 2022 NASCAR Bass Pro Shops Night Race at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, Chris Buescher was the winner and the longshot paid back his Futures book backers handsomely at 100/1 odds so a $10 wager paid $1,000.

There have now been 19 different winners so far, this new NASCAR NextGen season.

The Bristol race pared Drivers in the 2022 NASCAR Playoffs down from 16 to 12, and we saw the four eliminated NASCAR Cup Series Drivers from the Round of 16 ended up being Tyler Reddick (#13), Kyle Busch (#14), Austin Dillon (#15), and Kevin Harvick (#16).

NASCAR AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 odds favorite Denny Hamlin sits in 6th place (3,013), followed by Christopher Bell in 7th (3,013), Ryan Blaney in 8th (3,013), Chase Briscoe in 9th (3,009), and currently Alex Bowman in 10th place (3,007).

Daniel Suárez is next at #11 (3,007), followed by Austin Cindric at #12 (3,006), so Briscoe (-4 points), Bowman (-6), Suárez (-6), and Cindric (-7) are the four drivers who will start this NASCAR Playoffs Round of 8 chasing eliminations in the Points standings.

 Top 5 Finish: Christopher Bell to Ring in Another Top 5 Finish?

Last weekend’s Top 5 were race winner Buescher (Ford), Elliott (Chevrolet), Byron (Chevrolet), Bell (Toyota), and Larson (Chevrolet), so the Chevys had three of the top sports in the Top 5 but didn’t win the race and the Manufacturer had 5 in the Top 10.

With the NASCAR Playoffs Round of 8 revving up Saturday, the Props markets are open and AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 odds see Bell (-125 Top 5 Finish, BetUS), Hamlin (-125) and Larson (-120) as the top three chalks from oddsmakers in this market.

With Christopher Bell (Toyota) having 10 Top 5 finishes and a nice 4th-place finish last week in the Bristol night race, backing Bell to ring in a Futures Props winner again in this market seems like a logical approach with him still in the hunt for the championship.

The 27-year-old Bell (8/1 to win 2022 NASCAR Cup Series) has been very consistent this year racing for Joe Gibbs Racing in his No. 20 Toyota Camry and has finished in 4th (Bristol), 3rd (Kansas), and 5th (Darlington) in the last three NASCAR Playoff races.

Sitting in 7th place, Bell has had the lead in 155 Laps over the past two races and although he has only won one race this 2022 NASCAR Cup series season and two in his entire career on the circuit, backing him at -125 here on Sunday makes a lot of sense.

Top 10 Finish Market: Suárez -150 is Worth Some Consideration

In 11th place, Daniel Suárez (33/1 to win 2022 NASCAR AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500) has the motivation to get some points and try to stay in contention for the 2022 NASCAR Cup series championship as the current longest shot (50/1).

Now 30-year-old Mexican Suárez (Chevrolet) will try to do better than the 19th-place finish he ended up with last Saturday night in Tennessee, and with an impressive 11 Top 10 Finishes (6 Top 5’s), the talented Driver will attempt to win the second race of his career.

And although he was eliminated in the NASCAR Playoffs cut last week, Kyle Busch (-350 to have Top 10 Finish) and the M&M’s car are also worth a look with the Las Vegas native now having nothing to lose and knowing that he is moving on to a new team next season.

Suarez Over Wallace, Jr. in Head-to-Head Matchups

Also offered up at popular online NASCAR sportsbook BetUS are Head-to-Head Driver’s matchups in the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 odds marketplace, and with some drivers just trying to stay in the top 12 and others trying to win, it’s an interesting mix.

One such pretty hot Driver who will be just “trying to win” on Sunday afternoon in the Lone Star State is Bubba Wallace, Jr. (20/1 to win the 2022 NASCAR AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500), winner of the second race of these 2022 NASCAR Playoffs.

In the Head-to-Head market, Daniel Suárez (33/1) is a +115 Underdog to finish ahead of Wallace (-145) and with 11th-place Suárez still in contention for the championship and sitting 6 points behind elimination when it goes to 8 drivers, he will be motivated.

Last week in the 2022 NASCAR Bass Pro Shops Night Race, American Wallace and his Toyota finished in 29th place while Mexican Suárez and his Chevrolet ended up in 19th place earning 18 points for his efforts and keeping any championship hopes still alive.

Top Toyota Finish to Bell over Race Favorite Hamlin

An interesting AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 betting odds Props offering is the Top Toyota Finish where Hamlin (+220 to be Top Toyota Finish), Bell (+280), Kyle Busch (4/1), and Martin Truex Jr. (+425) are the shorter odds drivers in this marketplace.

The two longer shots are Bubba Wallace (9/1) and Ty Gibbs (25/1), and after Wallace won a couple of weeks ago, it’s hard to imagine a repeat but you never know as he has been driving well and has nothing to lose with other Toyota drivers still in the title hunt.

Hamlin has been impressive but I am siding with Bell to probably be in the Top 5 with Hamlin and Busch possibly making the Top 10 and Truex. Jr. possibly finishing anywhere from 8th to 18th in Texas. And at +280, Bell also seems to have perceived value.

Bell ended up 4th last week in Bristol while Hamlin finished up in 9th under the lights and they were the only two Toyota drivers to finish in the Top 10 in last weekend’s Playoff race.

Regular Season Champion Elliott Due For NASCAR Playoffs Win?

Erik Jones won the Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington in the opening Round of 16 race and then we saw Bubba Wallace shock us all and win the checkered flag in the 2022 Hollywood Casino 400 at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas the next Sunday.

And when Chris Buescher captured the 2022 NASCAR Bass Pro Shops Night Race at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol last Saturday night, no one could really be that surprised that we saw another surprise, longshot winner this new NextGen car season.

Here picking a winner is a crapshoot with the 12 drivers in the NASCAR Postseason basically driving a different race (for something) as opposed to all of the others in the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 Field who can’t win the 2022 championship.

Chase Elliott (Chevrolet) was 2nd last week behind Buescher at Bristol and at 8/1 AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 odds, he is worth a small bet as he can go a long way toward putting himself in the best position to win at the end of this NASCAR season.

Elliott already won the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Regular Season back on August 21.
