2023 F1 Championship Odds and Predictions

F1 2023 Championship Predictions Odds Picks

The 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship season will begin in March as defending champion Max Verstappen looks to make it three straight championships for himself and his Red Bull RBPT racing team this coming year.

The first race of the 2023 F1 season will be held on Sunday, March 5 with the running of the 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix from the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain.

Once again, ESPN has the broadcasting rights for F1. And, like before, the best sports network on the planet will air all 24 of the races as well as many practices.

There will be a record 23 races on the Formula One schedule this season—the 74th for F1—including the inaugural 2023 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix set for Sunday, November 19 here in Sin City. The season will end on November 26 with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

As Verstappen seeks another championship, his Red Bull Racing team will also be looking to win another World Constructors’ Championship after the Dutchman set a new record with14 wins last season.

Verstappen broke the old record of 13 wins in an F1 season jointly held by Michael Schumacher (2004) and Sebastien Vettel (2013), but there were only 18 races in 2004 and just 19 in 2013.

So how many races will the 25-year-old Verstappen win in this upcoming 2023 F1 World Championship season with one more race now added to the schedule?

One of the best F1 betting sites, the online sportsbook at Bovada offers a fun Max Verstappen Prop bet where you can try to peg down the number of races that you think he will win this season.

But don’t expect 2023 to be the dream season for Verstappen like 2022 was. Although he has the strongest team, Verstappen may have issues winning weekly with a big target on his back after two straight championships.

Online oddsmakers at BetOnline have Verstappen the favorite but F1 icon Lewis Hamilton (+350), Charles Leclerc (4/1), George Russell (10/1), Carlos Sainz (20/1), and Sergio Pérez (25/1) will all be pressing Verstappen after having that historic 2022 season.

Both Mexican Pérez and Spaniard Sainz earned their first F1 wins during the 2022 F1 season.

Here are all of your F1 championship odds for the upcoming season along with 2023 F1 championship predictions as we look forward to yet another huge season from an historic Auto Racing league that continues to grow in both viewing and wagering popularity.

Max Verstappen -105

After winning an F1 record 14 races in 2023 and repeating as champion, it will be hard for Verstappen to repeat the glory and numbers he put up in 2022. And the tension he created with Red Bull Racing teammate Sergio Pérez last season can’t help matters.

But this team proved week-in and week-out that it can win and expecting Verstappen to be in the top three and on the podium every week and probably win the title again this season makes sense.

It won’t come easy though and at these -105 F1 championship odds, there isn’t a lot of value as waiting almost a year to maybe cash in an Even money in a sportsbook doesn’t have a whole lot of luster.

Verstappen can and will be beaten and winning three straight championships will be hard.

Lewis Hamilton +350

F1 legend Lewis Hamilton finished strong in the 2022 season, and that was a positive thing for the Englishman and his Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.

Hamilton won four straight F1 championships (2017-2020) in his Mercedes, and if anyone is going to knock Verstappen off his throne, it might be the 37-year-old. But are these +350 (7/2) F1 championship odds enough should he be able to do so?

Last year in the 2022 F1 season, Hamilton won no races, so bettors better beware. He will challenge Verstappen, but so will these other three drivers who may prove to have more value.

Charles Leclerc 4/1

Charles Leclerc had three Wins and nine Poles for Scuderia Ferrari in 2022 and 2023 promises to be another great one for the 25-year-old Monégasque driver.

Leclerc and his Scuderia Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz (20/1 to win 2023 F1 Championship, BetOnline) are two drivers to watch on the F1 circuit and the Scuderia Ferrari team may push the Red Bull Racing team when the season revs up in March.

Sergio Pérez 25/1

The best perceived value of the main drivers that will likely be in the hunt to win the 2023 F1 Championship may be Mexican sensation Sergio Pérez. But getting by and getting the cooperation from teammate Veratappen may be a stumbling block for Pérez and the team.

This Futures bet would be considered a longshot, and expect for Pérez to win two or maybe three races in 2023. But it seems Verstappen, Hamilton, Russell and Leclerc will be the guys to beat.

2023 F1 Championship Predictions: Leclerc Worth a Shot?

Expecting Verstappen to have as good of a season in 2023 as he did in 2022 seems like way too much of an ask. Almost everything went perfect for Verstappen in 2022.

Winning 14 of the 22 F1 races in 2022 may be a record no one ever tops. But when you are a two-time defending champion, everyone is driving to get your crown.

Pérez, Verstappen, Hamilton, Russell, Leclerc, and maybe even Carlos Sainz (20/1) will all challenge Verstappen and the first eight races of the season will reveal much.

Last year, Verstappen won six of the first nine races, virtually putting the championship out of reach for other drivers. He will need his car, team and luck to be the same as it was in 2022.

Logic dictates that it won’t be and someone stops his chances at a third straight title. Charles Leclerc at 4/1 odds has the real chance, car, team and fair odds to take a chance on. Watch Fertrari in 2023.
