The Top Las Vegas Casinos Not on The Strip

Vegas Casinos Off The Strip

Las Vegas casinos located off the Strip are a great way to mix up your trip to Sin City. They may not have the same glitz and glamour as casinos on the Strip, but off-strip gambling venues can still be a lot of fun.

The Strip is only roughly four miles long, so there is a limited number of casinos that can occupy the world-famous street. But Vegas has dozens of casinos that are not located on The Strip.

Gamblers in Sin City also have fantastic online casinos at their disposal. Keep reading to see the five best off-Strip casinos that you should try when visiting Las Vegas. Also, I will give you a comparable online option for each brick-and-mortar Vegas casino on my list.

Why Should You Play at Casinos Off the Strip in Vegas?

The Strip is the most well-known part of Sin City and is home to many famous casinos. But the best off-strip casinos can offer unique advantages not found anywhere else in Vegas.

First and foremost, you can still play all of your favorite casino games at casinos located off of the famous Las Vegas Strip. There are dozens of hotel and casinos that offer the same level of quality as their Strip-based counterparts.

But casinos off The Strip in Vegas are usually less expensive. Also, they are usually filled with locals instead of tourists. This creates a much different atmosphere than you will find at casinos located on The Strip.

Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel and Casino

  • Address: 129 E. Fremont Street, 89101
  • (702) 385-7111
  • Official website
  • Distance from The Strip: 3 miles south

Starting off my list of the best Las Vegas casinos located off The Strip is the Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. This is one of the most famous casinos in Sin City and first opened in 1946.

The Golden Nugget brand has casinos across the US, from Las Vegas to Atlantic City. So, it should come as no surprise that this off-strip casino is loaded with great casino games. You can find thousands of popular games, such as:

  • Slot machines
  • Video poker
  • Mini Baccarat
  • Blackjack
  • Roulette

There are plenty of ways to entertain yourself outside of the casino too. The Golden Nugget Las Vegas has 10 different restaurants located onsite. There is also live entertainment available and seven different bars to choose from.

If you choose to stay at the onsite hotel, then you will have even more amenities at your disposal. There is a Spa & Salon, a shopping center, and even a fitness center available to hotel guests. The hotel provides transportation services, too, such as rental cars and limo services.

Online Alternative: DuckyLuck Casino

The Golden Nugget is one of the most famous casino brands in the US and offers a great all-around experience. One of the few casino sites that can compare to this legendary brand is DuckyLuck Casino. Both casinos offer a wide selection of popular games, and they each have reward programs loaded with casino bonuses.

As a member of Golden Nugget’s 24k Select Club, you can earn tons of bonuses that help your bankroll. Likewise, the DuckyBucks Rewards program offers multiple bonuses that you can take advantage of every day. Both programs are tiered programs, so you can get better bonuses by using them more.

The next location on my list of the best off-strip casinos is the Palace Station Hotel and Casino. Like the Golden Nugget, this popular casino is just three miles away from the famous Las Vegas Strip. It is also a highly recognizable brand in Sin City and very popular with the locals.

Palace Station’s casino floor is jam-packed with electronic gambling machines. You can play everything from the latest slot titles to table games like craps, baccarat, and roulette. There are plenty of games with low betting minimums as well. This is a great option if you are on a tight budget.

Palace Station has tons of ways to keep the fun going, even when you are taking a break from the casino floor. There are multiple entertainment venues onsite, including an event center and a movie theatre. You will also have a great selection of food and drink options to choose from.

Online Alternative: Lupin Casino

Lupin Casino is a safe online casino that is a great alternative to the Palace Station Hotel and Casino. Both casinos have awesome rewards programs and thousands of games to play. Also, these casinos are both budget friendly.

Up next is the Circa Resort & Casino, which is located three miles south of the Strip on Fremont Street. This is one of the best Las Vegas casinos off the strip because it is also a world-class sportsbook.

The casino portion of Circa offers endless hours of fun. You can choose from over 1,300 slots and over 55 table games. But this casino is world-famous for more than just its games.

Guests at Circa can also wager on their favorite sports at one of the biggest sportsbooks in the world. The three-story sportsbook includes massive screens for watching live events as they happen. Up to 1,000 bettors can be in this massive sportsbook at once.

The 350 stadium-style seats ensure that you will have a comfortable experience. There are also dedicated dining options located in Circa’s sports betting lounge, so you will never miss a moment of the action. You can even book your seats in advance to ensure that you have a place to watch the game.

Online Alternative: BetUS

BetUS is the best option for an online gambling experience similar to Circa Resort & Casino. Both casinos have a great selection of slots and table games. But the biggest similarities between these two are their highly-rated sportsbooks and mobile sportsbook apps.

Circa’s sportsbook is physically massive and offers all of the amenities bettors could hope for. Similarly, BetUS offers sports bettors a ton of advantages, like exclusive bonuses and access to dozens of markets, including in-play betting.
