NFL Coach Of The Year Betting Favorites

The following coaches are listed as the odds-on favorites at the top football betting sites:

Dan Campbell (Lions): +700

Dan Campbell, whose team got a huge Week 1 win on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs, is the favorite to win the Coach of the Year award. Campbell was among the favorites to win the award this season as the Lions had the best odds to win the NFC North. After starting 1-0 and getting a primetime win, it’s not surprising to see his Coach of the Year odds jump up even higher after one week.

If the Lions can make the playoffs and win the NFC North, it only makes sense that Campbell would take home this award. Making the Lions competitive and relevant again in the NFC would be quite the accomplishment and it’s why Campbell is the current favorite to win Coach of the Year.

Sean Payton (Broncos): +1200

No team in the NFL had worse coaching than the Denver Broncos last season. They finished with the fifth-worst record in the league, despite having Super Bowl aspirations in Year 1 under Russell Wilson.

That’s why Sean Payton was and is among the favorites to be the Coach of the Year in 2023. If he can turn the Broncos around and get them back into the playoffs, he’ll be among the contenders for the award.

However, the Broncos got off to a rough start, losing in Week 1 at home to the Las Vegas Raiders. The offense managed to score just 16 points and committed double-digit penalties. Payton still has plenty of time to get the Broncos back on track. But there is no doubt that his Week 1 loss was detrimental to his odds to win this award.

Best NFL Coach Of The Year Betting Value: Robert Saleh (Jets): +1600

The Jets were expected to be a Super Bowl contender this season with Aaron Rodgers under center. But with Rodgers going down with a season-ending Achilles injury four plays into the year, those hopes have gone out the window. However, that doesn’t mean the Jets won’t be competitive.

They still have one of the best defenses in the league and should have an explosive rushing attack with Breece Hall healthy again.

Things are set up well for Saleh to win this award as the expectations are pretty low for the Jets without Rodgers. If he can get his team to the playoffs with Zach Wilson or any other quarterback not named Aaron Rodgers, he’ll have a great chance of winning this award.

The Top NFL Coach Of The Year Longshot: Mike Vrabel (Titans): +3000

The Jaguars are the favorites to win the AFC South after accomplishing that feat last year. With Trevor Lawrence going into Year 3, they are expected to do it again with ease. However, don’t rule out the Tennessee Titans, who have the best coach in the division with Mike Vrabel.

The Titans are always competitive and have one of the strongest defenses in the conference. If he can find a way to get his team to 10+ wins again in 2023, it might be able to earn that honor again after winning the award in 2021. His team isn’t anywhere near as talented as the Jaguars, but you can bet that the Titans will remain competitive all year.

2023-24 NFL Coach Of The Year Prediction Arthur Smith (Falcons): +1400

The Falcons have already gotten off to a 1-0 start, which is good news for Smith. The rest of the NFC South appears to be weak, despite the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints both getting wins in Week 1.

The Falcons were a seven-win team in 2022, but weren’t far off from winning the division. But this year, they have as good a shot as anyone to steal the division and host a home playoff game.

With a second-year quarterback in Desmond Ridder under center, Smith is trying to find ways to protect his QB and win games with his rushing attack.

He might be able to pull it off, especially with their defense being light years ahead of where they were last season. If the Falcons can win 9-10 games this season and win the weak NFC South, Smith will have a great chance of winning this award. His Coach of the Year odds (+1400) offer solid value as well.
