Will Tom Brady Retire, Un-Retire or Head to Las Vegas in 2023?

Tom Brady Retirement Unretirement Or Las Vegas

So, it was one and done for Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in the 2023 NFL Playoffs as they were crushed by the Dallas Cowboys on Super Wild Card weekend.

With the loss, the potential for Brady to find a new home started buzzing on social media and with online NFL betting.

Tampa Bay’s roster has a lot of questions and issues that need to be addressed. But, the one question that we will examine for this article is the immediate future of Tom Brady.

A year ago, at this time, Brady retired only to unretire less than two months later. Will he do it again? Let’s huddle up to examine the following Tom Brady prop bets courtesy of BetOnline.

Of course, no one is going to tell potentially the greatest player in NFL history that he has to retire me.

However, at age 45 and with the way he struggled in some situations this past season, the idea of a Tom Brady retirement is one of the major topics in NFL circles this offseason.

Brady has already been named as a color analyst by FOX as he will team with play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt, but that is when he decides his career is over.

Many players in the four major sports have sullied stellar reputations by not listening to Father Time and retiring. Will Brady be another example of this?

His career numbers are amazing as he has 89,214 passing yards with 649 touchdown passes and 212 interceptions in his 335 games.

The genuine love of the game pushes some incredible athletes to keep extending their careers, but their level of play drops and so do the ideas passed down about their greatness throughout their careers.

With that said, I believe this will be the last hoorah for Brady as he comes back for one final run at a Super Bowl. The intrigue will surround which team he actually plays for in 2023.

Will Tom Brady Retire and then Un-Retire?

Sportsbooks almost overwhelmingly state that there will be no Tom Brady retirement (-2000) where he will un-retire (+700) soon after.

If this doesn’t make sense, harken back to last season when Brady retired from his NFL career where he spent 41 days in retirement before taking what many people thought was one last dive into the NFL waters.

Brady is potentially the most prototypical of anyone in the league and he felt he was still in good physical shape and lead the Buccaneers back to another Super Bowl.

His thoughts were to do this for the Buccaneers’ organization as well as his peers who were his biggest supporters in and out of his career.

At the time, he talked about his wife, model Gisele Bundchen, who was then in favor of him going forward with his career. However, we later found out that the two would get divorced.

2022 was a roller coaster for Brady in his personal and professional life. I don’t see TB12 making this year as dramatic.

Look for Brady to quickly announce he will play again so that all of his focus can go towards what should be his final season. There will be no retirement shenanigans this year.

Tom Brady’s Next Team (If not the Buccaneers)

New England Patriots+500
Miami Dolphins+600
San Francisco 49ers+700
Indianapolis Colts+750
Baltimore Ravens+900

As we’ve established in the two previous Tom Brady prop bets, TB12 will comeback for at least one more season. Yet, where he plays in 2023 (if not with the Bucs) is where we will now turn our attention.

Brady will only sign with a team that he believes can win a Super Bowl next season. So, that rules out options like the Jets and Colts who both have too many holes to fill.

The Ravens will bring back Lamar Jackson, the 49ers and Dolphins are set at QB for the upcoming season, so that leaves us with one realistic option – the Raiders.

Yes, the same Raiders who caused a soap opera in Vegas with how they treated Derek Carr, who will also be looking for a new home and could fit nicely with the Jets or Colts.

If Brady leaves the Bucs, and that is a big “if,” then the Silver and Black appear to be the ideal destination for Brady.

He will be surrounded by great talent on offense, reunited with play caller Josh McDaniels, and probably receive a huge payday as this franchise is desperate for a real Playoff contender.
